Who is Mike Floss?

Formerly known as OpenMic, Floss appears to be the hottest thing out of Tennessee, since Young Buck. Flying under the mainstream radar for far too long, Mike’s time in The Limelight is imminent. The Nashville native is introducing his own brand of southern hip-hop; his mixtapes “For The Rebels” 1&2 have left his growing listener-base wondering who is Mike Floss and when will his upcoming mixtape “Don’t Blame the Youth” be available?

Could this underground king be coming for the throne? Although Mike has worked with music veterans: Pusha T, Wale, Stalley, Yo Gotti, Dom Kennedy, Big K.R.I.T. and others, he is not reliant on their star-power to highlight his project. On his own right, he is etching his name into the long list of hip-hop greats. His conscious brand of music is exactly what the music scene is lacking; armed with a unique flow and dynamic lyrics that have his supporters dancing to the beat of a different drum; a style reminiscent of the old school Dungeon Family/Outkast meshed with a contemporary Lupe/Cole with a little bit of funk and evolution on top of that.

Floss does a great job of, almost poetically, drawing upon relatable thoughts and experiences; he takes life and puts it on a track. 

Mike partnered with incredible producer Ducko McFli, to bring you an instant classic “Dopeboy Dreaming“. Their chemistry is Penn and Teller; there’s magic on this track. I was immediately compelled to research his entire catalog and try to understand how I didn’t see this coming. I was surprised that I hadn’t heard songs like “James Brown“–which is straight fire–or “Talking To A Jesus Piece” before. More than thought provoking; Floss is raising the bar for new generation hip hop. It’s a pot luck, [sic] you better come with it.

This isn’t like anything you’ve heard before, but it’s everything that you have been waiting for. Don’t take my word for it, though; here’s your chance to decide for yourselves. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Mike Floss.
