This may or may not be your first visit, but it surely will not be your last.

Our mission is build a platform for unknown/up-and-coming but completely deserving talented music makers. We try to help artists to reach their next milestone and move from obscurity to prominence. Find incredible independent artists who are doing what it takes to create a name, because they are ready for the world-stage. Stay tuned, we are just getting started!  

We have been following the development and growth of independent R&B/Soul artist, JeRonelle McGhee. I must say that JeRon is ready for The Limelight. This Clark Atlanta University undergraduate hails from Omaha, Nebraska. McGhee got my attention performing with #GoldShadesMusic for the VH1 Save the music benefit concert; music was certainly saved, on this day.

I was immediately compelled to greet this young man, introduce myself and follow his progress. When I began my own Limelight Showcases, JeRonelle was one of a select group of artists that I encouraged to participate in the series. When we find talent, we nurture and develop. We take artist promotion to the next level, sometimes, the objective is more important than the money. #takethattakedathaha

I have seen JeRonelle–and many artists that I have worked with–grow and build their dreams into fruition. Just last year, JeRonelle was fortunate enough to participate in the BET Hip Hop Awards; he was blessed to share the stage with hip-hop pioneer, Common. Ironically, there is nothing common about this feat. Indeed the AUC is making major headway in the Atlanta music scene. There seems to be an untapped pool of musicians, producers and industry executives. We are the source of The Limelight. JeRonelle is proof that there are still artists who embody the true essence of what soulful R&B is supposed to be. He has stage presence, classic sound, and a unique sound and style that makes him unlike any other artist that seems to adulterate the quality of music for temporary fame.  

It’s time for the game changers, it’s time for something better. Take a second to listen JeRonelle’s LIVE rendition of John Legend’s “All of Me!” It’s clear to see that this is something that you have been waiting for. No auto-tune. no provocative lyrics; you have one man, one stage, a MIC and a DREAM. In case you were unaware, this is the recipe for unbelievable. This is my only purpose for The Limelight; that moment when you are able to see the transformation of an artist as they become Super Stars.
